According to ISAIAH, a Twin Cities faith-based organization, the recently passed Transportation Bill and large-scale public transit projects like the Central Corridor are not enough to benefit the most diverse communities in the Cities. ISAIAH’s Lonnie Ellis argues that these projects can deepen the racial and social inequalities among people and that the solution is to work with local communities and public officials to ensure they are not overlooked when planning increased light rail and bus routes.
